White Tara, also known as "Sitatara" or "Saraswati" in some traditions, is a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. She is a manifestation of the compassionate and enlightened energy associated with Tara, a female Bodhisattva and a popular figure in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions. Tara is considered to be a Buddha of enlightened activity, particularly associated with compassion and the swift removal of obstacles.
