Any Buddhist who dies hopes to be reincarnated in Amitabha Pureland, where they will follow the teachings of Buddha Amitabha and never return to samsara until they are certain they have attained enlightenment.
On the central thangka, Buddha Amitabha is surrounded by eight important Bodhisattvas. The ten direction Buddhas, offering goddesses, are positioned atop. We have lessons from the Buddha in four corners. Below is a group of monks worshipping Buddha Amitabha, with monks on the right and left.
